I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
